The Brothers and Lisa is the love story. The love story of two people, especially its beginning, always evokes interest. The love story involving three persons usually causes interest and curiosity warmed up with the smell of scandal!.. The story of the «Brothers and Lisa» play is mixed up with blood, more precisely, the consanguinity of two native brothers.
Our play is about two brothers – Peter and Simon, and also about poor girl named Lisa. Lisa loves Peter, Simon loves Lisa, Peter loves Simon and Lisa, Simon loves Peter and Lisa… It looks like an insoluble triangle.
However, the play is not only «about that». Even when you become older, famous and well known, you, nevertheless, need protection, which you can get from your parents and your dog loved from the very childhood. Independence and freedom are the great features, but how often the feeling of independence and maturity about yourself gives you happiness? Not so often, and that is why everyone protects himself as he can. Some dive into the ocean of work, friends, alcohol, success and fleeting flirt without any obligations. Others who have tender, agile, artistic psychology – become crazy because of impossibility to save their own world: father, mother and the loved dog. The person begins to hypocrite. He plays at his past and suddenly forgets himself in playing, and just cannot stop. And then phantoms, the images made by seek fantasy, begin to swallow up the real people.
These are the brothers having the Bible names – Peter and Simon. The modern bohemian artist Peter, his «crazy» brother Simon, and stray young creature – poor, beautiful girl Lisa, who suddenly changes into the grown up lady – the story looks as the insoluble triangle made with the whirlpool of passion, feelings, and emotions…
Besides the theme of love, here arises the theme of loneliness when everyone feels the need in family and somebody very-very close…
